Overview
There is still a long way to go in making the benefits of sustainable living open to all.
Many people still think of green lifestyle choices as the preserve of a middle class minority.
With individuals accounting for 44% of the UK’s CO2 emissions, it is clear that more has to be done to mobilise the population at large.
To make this happen, we believe that a new type of campaigning is needed. We can no longer start from the assumption that people are ready and waiting to change their behaviour. Instead, we need to make it easier, cheaper and more appealing for them to act.
We will if you will aims to assemble unprecedented coalitions of businesses and charities committed to helping their customers and supporters take the practical steps towards greener living.
If we can engage a broader cross section of society in the benefits of sustainable living, they will be able to save money, improve the quality of their lives and perhaps most importantly, help to stave off the effects of climate change which are likely to fall most heavily on the disadvantaged.
